Mind reading is referred to as telepathy. Electroencephalography is the machine that reads brain waves. It measures the electronic activity of the brain. By use of an AI scientist from America have developed a technique to translate brain activity like unspoken thoughts to text or speech. According to the latest research it has shown that they can actually decode thoughts by implanting electrodes in your brain and then use an AI algorithm to read brain activity and translate them to speech or word. An invention has also been made of a non invasion brain computer interface that can read continuous language in the brain, meaning that someone can read your general thought even without you uttering a word. Investigation Mind Reading Disadvantages The mind reading technology translate brain activity to text, which means that it only captures the important part of the brain activity to text but not the real meaning of the brain. If you are under an investigation and someone close to you know you are under investigation, he can alter and speak words to your ear hence affecting the final translate text. He can chose to feed you positive information or negative information depending on how he wants to, compromising the entire objective of mind reading. This kind of manipulation makes mind reading not to be dependable. Unless the AI algorithm can be able to deferentiate thoughts translated to word from real host and words spoken from third party then the technology is less dependable.
